Custom Cake Spotlight: Four Tier Wedding Cake With Cascading Hydrangea

Elysia Root Cakes is proud to be the exclusive wedding cake provider for all weddings at The Langham Chicago. We love meeting with couples getting married at The Langham Chicago.  It is such a fun process to meet with our couples to create a cake that fits in with the beauty of the space, as well as one that satisfies their guests’ sweet tooth. We created a beautiful, four tier wedding cake with with cascading hydrangeas for Raj and Brooke’s wedding at The Langham last March. These lovely images by Sprung Photo capture their elegant and chic wedding cake glamorously and effortlessly.

Their all-white wedding cake was simple enough to not call attention away from the gorgeous space, yet also was stunning to the eye.  We love this photo below that not only shows off our beautiful cake, but also the drama of the chandeliers in the Devonshire Ballroom at The Langham Chicago.


Brooke and Raj wanted to have a little bit of variety in their wedding cake, so they chose two different cake flavors to serve their guests. Two tiers were rich double chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream and dark chocolate ganache, while the other two tiers were vanilla and chocolate cake alternating, with amaretto espresso buttercream and dark chocolate ganache.


We’d like to extend kudos to Sarah of Elevage Events for providing day-of-coordination for  such a lovely wedding. Other vendors that helped create Raj and Brooke’s perfect day were Pollen, Swing Assembly, Willow Creek, Salon Buzz, and Nika Vaughan Bridal Artists.
