Real Wedding: Jessica and Jacob

Jessica and Jacob’s wedding at The Langham Chicago was such a beautiful and glamorous affair! Every time we look back on the details of this amazing day, captured beautifully by Rick Aguilar Studios, we feel so honored that we could be a part of it! The show-stopping five-tiered cake was adorned with black fondant ribbon and fresh white florals from Kehoe Designs, creating a modern yet elegant design. The cake table was draped in a textured white linen which beautifully contrasted the smooth, slick surface of the cake.

We love a sophisticated and minimal design, and this cake was no exception. We wish Jessica and Jacob many more days that are as special and happy as their wedding day!

A Magical Affair

Brandy and Brian’s wedding day at The Langham Chicago was full of love, laughter, and magic. One of the most unforgettable parts of the day was the revealing of the groom’s cake. Brandy surprised Brian with a Harry Potter themed cake, to honor their shared love for the famous series. The two-tiered cake was topped with the Sorting Hat, and adorned with a wand, snitch, and train ticket to Hogwarts, which are all signature items to the books.

The magic didn’t stop there! For their traditional wedding cake, we created a show-stopping 4-tiered cake adorned with gorgeous pink and burgundy flowers from Stems Chicago, as well as luscious greenery. Candles decorated the cake table, lighting up the cake to enhance its beauty.

We loved getting creative for the groom’s cake and keeping it classic for the wedding cake! Groom’s cakes are a fun, yet special gesture that every groom appreciates, and will have your guests in awe. Take a look at the gorgeous photos from AveryHouse below to get some inspiration!

A Groom’s Cake with a Bark

Liz and Joey’s wedding day was a joyous celebration, filled with friends and family! The most memorable part of the day had to be the unveiling of the groom’s cake – Joey was pleasantly surprised to find his best friend turned cake form. Liz wanted his Jack Russell Terrier, Pebbles, to be a part of their special day, and this was the most creative way possible!  Liz arranged for Joey’s favorite Boston Crème pie from Joe’s Seafood to be delivered to us so that we could depict Pebbles getting into trouble by eating his pie!

This cake was so much fun to create, and even more exciting to see Joey’s expression when first laying eyes on him! Take a peek below at this one of a kind grooms cake, and Joey’s once in a lifetime surprise!

Real Wedding: Blake and Ian

We love reflecting back on past weddings, and especially Blake and Ian’s beautiful celebration! Their special day was lively and full of love and laughter, from the incredible ambiance that set the stage for dancing to the final cake cutting.

Guests received a 4 piece French Macaron favor with a custom favor tag embellished with a tiny bell to signify the bride’s new last name. Pistachio, Vanilla Bean, Raspberry and Salted Caramel flavors for the French Macarons complimented the wedding colors.

This six tier fondant cake with diamond quilting and glittering rhinestone accents, was adorned with gold fondant ribbon and both sugar and fresh florals – creating a unique and personalized cake for this stunning couple!

We love incorporating our specialty designs, one of them being sugar flowers, and this design took the cake! Wishing these two many more days that are as happy as their wedding day!

Amanda’s Little Miss themed Baby Shower

Amanda’s baby shower was absolutely a joy to be apart of – it brings us such happiness looking back on all the incredible details that made this event even more remarkable! Laura from Wrap It Up Parties planned a perfectly gorgeous event and we loved the design inspiration we received for the baby shower cake. This two-tiered watercolored designed cake adorned with elegant gold accents perfectly complimented the beautifully designed sunset watercolored themed shower invitations! We love incorporating specific details that are most important to our clients into their dream cakes, which is exactly what we did with this lovely watermelon pink and tangerine orange color palette event.

Adding chic gold details and colorful embellishments really brings out the fun and unique personality of Amanda, and what her vision was for this event! We are always so thrilled to see these final event details come together to make for a perfect celebration.

It was really important to us that we organized a baby shower that Amanda was really happy with so she could just sit back, relax, and enjoy getting spoiled! She has been rushing non-stop to sort things out with her pregnancy but we kept telling her that she’s got plenty of time, no need to rush and stress the baby. We try our best to keep her calm. Just the other day we went shopping with Amanda to get the baby’s toy room ready and she didn’t know what type of toys to get. We recommend activity centers, you can find a good round up post over at Best For Mums to find out more about them, so we got one of those and left it at that. She wants to do everything as soon as possible so it was good to see her relax and take a break at the baby shower!

Take a look below at Amanda’s spectacular baby shower!
