Custom Cake Spotlight: Four Tier Wedding Cake with Gorgeous Sugar Floral

Nadiya and Vlad tied the knot at The Murphy last summer, and their wedding cake was both elegant and lovely. The couple wanted their decor to exemplify sophisticated, timeless beauty, and they sure achieved it! Kara Superfine Events did an amazing job putting together their beautiful wedding. Nadiya and Vlad’s four tier fondant wedding cake was adorned with an array of sugar floral: white hydrangeas, white spray roses, white phalaenopsis orchids, and white cherry blossoms with hints of lavender. The small separator in the middle (separating the upper two tiers from the lower two tiers) was completely covered in this variety of sugar floral.

The final elegant detail on their wedding cake was a custom silver monogram, representing the initial of both of their first names.

The wedding cake had completely different flavor combinations for each tier: vanilla bean cake with raspberry mousse and white chocolate mousse fillings, chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream and dark chocolate ganache fillings, almond cake with coffee buttercream filling, and last but not least – vegan peanut butter cake with vegan chocolate buttercream filling. No matter what their guests’ taste preferences were, we’re sure they were able to find a flavor combination that they loved!

Kehoe Designs provided Nadiya and Vlad’s beautiful fresh floral, and Blue Plate Catering was their caterer. We hope Nadiya and Vlad enjoyed their gorgeous wedding cake as much as we loved making it!

Custom Cake Spotlight: Elegant Monogrammed Wedding Cake and Broncos Groom’s Cake

We absolutely loved working with Elizabeth and Ross and bringing their dream wedding cake(s) to reality. From the get go, they were the sweetest couple to work with- so great that Elysia likes to call them “dream clients.” As if their warm and extremely kind demeanors weren’t enough, they also make a stunningly gorgeous couple! Elizabeth and Ross tied the knot on October 25, 2014 at The Langham Chicago in the Devonshire Ballroom. A Stem Above provided beautiful floral, and Elizabeth’s amazing gown was designed by Peter Langner. Take a look at some lovely photos of their big day by Robyn Rachel Photography.

Their five-tiered, white monogrammed wedding cake topped with fresh orchids went along perfectly with their elegant theme. Classic and delicious, it was vanilla bean and chocolate cake filled with vanilla bean buttercream, chocolate buttercream and raspberry conserve.

Ross, a huge Denver Broncos fan, was so excited to have a Groom’s Cake modeled after a vintage Broncos football helmet. It was a chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream.
